I realize that I already made a post tonight, but you know what? I've been playing with food lately, so give me a break, I'm a stay at home mom, and my husband is finally working in town again, so I don't just eat frozen burritos and junk anymore! Anyways, my husband and I decided that we should start watching football, and support a team for fun, it makes us more cultured ;) We decided to follow the Giants because my husband says that Eli Manning is good. He's a quarterback, turns out all they do is throw the ball, they don't even make the touchdowns, who knew?
So what's more American than watching football? Eating food while watching it, of course. So one of my husband's newest favorite foods are buffalo wings, and I thought, to myself, "wings and football? Way to be best wifey ever!" So I have a confession to make...the only wings I've ever cooked were when I roasted a whole chicken... So I decided to check on youtube how to cut up, and cook wings, once I did that, I found out most people deep fry their wings. Ew, I don't deep-fry, it tastes bad and it scares me. So I decided to crock em, why not? So after I cut those suckers up, I threw them in my crock pot for 6 or 7 hours on low in a bottle of buffalo sauce, super classy. Then when they were done, I took mine out and peeled off the skin and the bones and made a pile of meat for me to eat with a fork, because the hotness in the sauce burns my dried out skin.
They were a little slimy in texture, so my husband broiled his for a short amount of time, and he said they were perfect!!
I just had to use my pun of wingin' it though, that's really the only reason why I felt the need to double-post. Get over it, I'm funny, and fat ;)
