I have a theory about food, I don't care if you don't agree, get over it and hear my out.
Homemade food is healthier than eating out, period.
What?!?! What am I talking about?!?! What if you go out and order a Caesar salad, and make 5 cheese lasagna at home?? Well here's the thing, there are many ways that I think homemade is healthier:
- You control what is added into the food
- You control the portions
- You SAVE money
- Less preservatives
- Less color additives
- Less chance of spread of disease
Also, if only one person is working with raw foods, you can control the spread of disease pretty easily, versus someone who is going to work and is sick and sneezing and sneezes on a counter, and then someone else prepares food on that counter, and then the thought of touching money and touching food. Sorry if you aren't following my role, the dental hygienist in me is just freaking out about the grossness of eating in public.
Cooking at home also helps you save money, you don't have to pay for service, and you can make extras for leftovers, and have extra meals.
Overall I believe that home cooked food, even if the caloric intake is high, is still better for you, even if it just better for your soul.
Cook some dinner, let me know what you think.
